One of the many fun fall traditions we have is to take a day and go to the Apple Orchard. This year Marissa was very into picking her own apples! We always have to come home and make delicious caramel apples! Here's some pics we took from the day!
We've had a busy month and I can't believe it's going to be October already. Marissa picked our her Halloween costume already! Fall is a great time of year but it also indicates that cold weather is going to be here to stay. I don't think either one of us is ready to be inside for the winter.
Marissa is really getting independent. It's the little things that really add up like getting dressed by herself. It's getting easier for me but then I realize that she really is growing up. Soon enough, I won't be the one to hang out with anymore and she'll want to just hang out with her friends. I'm trying to soak it all in right now.
She must have had a growth spurt over the summer because of all sudden pants that fit in May look like capris now. I don't notice how much she is growing until she puts on a pair of jeans and I see she really is getting tall.
Marissa asked me yesterday if she can have an ice cream cake for her birthday which got me thinking her 3rd birthday is in two months! AAHHH!! I can't believe it! How is it possible that 3 years has flown by so fast!
I guess I'm just having a reflective moment and needed to share!!!
We enjoyed a busy weekend with our families! We got to go to Minnehaha Falls and Lake Harriet on Sunday. Spend a day at the park picniking, swimming and playing at the playground on Monday. Here's a few pics from the fun!
We celebrated Craig's bday over the weekend with a day that started out at Great Grandma and Great-Grandpa's house. We were able to get everyone together for a family picnic. Marissa enjoyed playing with her cousins. She even asked as she was falling asleep if she could call Nikki and ask her if Jake & Charlie could play bikes again. The next morning when she woke up, that was the first thing she said again! So I know she had fun! Here's a few pics to highlight the time!
