The date is set!

While on vacation, I got a message from the nurse at the OB/GYN's office saying that I'm on the schedule at Maple Grove Hospital for July 13th at 8:00AM. SO, we have about 86 days left! If this pregnancy goes the same way as my pregnancy with Marissa, I'll definitely make it to July 13th however the doctor is quick to remind me that my body just may want to have this baby earlier so we can't always plan this exactly. SO, we will see but at least I have an ending date!

This pregnancy has been so different in many ways but I feel like baby boy is SO low. Marissa was always so high and into my ribs and I feel like this baby is completely opposite.

I did get the results back from my vitamin D test and it came back low. So now I'm taking another pill 3 times a day!

I head back to the doctor on April 30th for a check-up so we'll see how things are going then!

Hanging in there and anxiously awaiting the arrival of this little boy!!

Turks & Caicos

We got back on Wednesday night from our trip to Turks & Caicos. It was wonderful to get away for a few days from the normal routine of life. Marissa did SO well on all the airplane rides mostly due to the portable DVD player. She just watched a movie and the worst thing she did was giggle out loud! I am so thankful we took her on this trip. She definitely proved that she is old enough to handle a trip like this. She loved the beach and building sand castles. Tony took her in the ocean but she wasn't quite sure if she liked it or not. When Tony would go in there, she would tell him not to go too far and was very concerned about him.

This resort features a partnership with Sesame Street which then provides for lots of kid entertainment. She loved dancing on stage and would do it until we made her come down. The resort also had a very nice waterpark which she enjoyed playing on all the water slides.

We spent most of the time in the pool or laying at the beach. It was very relaxing and just what I needed. I'll post some pictures soon!

Doctor Appointment Update

Last Friday, I had my OB check-up appointment. My blood pressure is staying at the normal range which is such a relief. The doctor was pleased but did warn me that he will be watching me very closely starting at 32 weeks. Tomorrow, I turn 26 weeks so I have about 6 weeks to go until my weekly ultrasounds. These ultrasounds will measure the following five things: Body movements, muscle tone, breathing movements, amniotic fluid, and heartbeat. This ultrasound test will help determine when the baby should be born. He explained that pregnant women with high blood pressure can have complications with the placenta not getting enough oxygen to the baby so this is the reason for the test. So I'll pretty much be living at the doctor's office starting Mid-May!

If all goes well and baby continues to do well with no complications, I will have a C-Section at the Maple Grove Hospital on Tuesday, July 13th. I'm starting to feel that uncomfortable feeling coming on so I know these last 3 months are the hardest to get through!

I did pass my gestational diabetes test so that was a real relief!!!

Next doctor appointment is on Friday, April 30th! More details to come!

Tomorrow we leave for a vacation to Turks & Caicos! We are excited to get some R & R!!!
