The doctor gave me a good report today! Everything is looking well and next week is my very last appointment! YEAH! Can't wait until this is all over! 13 more days to wait!!! Looking forward to the holiday weekend for some quality R & R!!!
We enjoyed a busy weekend as it is one of the last ones just the three of us!!! We took Marissa to Toy Story 3 on Friday night while it was storming out. We came out of the theater to flooding, branches down and my brand new patio umbrella broken.....I was not a happy camper! Saturday, we took Marissa to a parade. She has been talking about marching bands for a few months so we knew she would like to see some live in person. She really enjoyed it and was practicing in between bands her marching skills. We spent the afternoon at the pool where Meghan & Abby joined us for some pool fun. Enjoyed an evening out with John & Beth and the girls. Sunday, we spent enjoying the beautiful but VERY HUMID weather eating brunch at Northcoast with Grammy. Lake Minnetonka is always a fun area to be on a Sunday afternoon! I was totally wiped out and swollen afterwards though! I fell asleep at 7:00 last night and woke up at 7:00 this morning!
Next weekend, we'll enjoy the 4th of July at the Cabin so we are looking forward to that. I head back to the doctor tomorrow! I'll report back! I'll also try to post some pics this afternoon!!!
Another Tuesday.....another doctor appointment! Thankfully, my blood pressure was good today and baby scored a 10/10 on the bio-physical profile. So all in all, a very good report! Three more weeks until my scheduled C-Section date. I'm still having so many contractions but they don't seem to be doing anything as I wasn't anymore dilated this week as last. Repeat the same next week!!!
We spent Father's Day weekend at the cabin with G & G Holgrimson! Marissa always enjoys getting to go fishing and going on boat rides. She had the offer to go to Toy Story 3 but wanted to stay at the cabin instead. We did lots of relaxing which is good for me as I was having contractions all weekend. We enjoyed a fantastic steak lunch courtesy of the local butcher shop which I think was a highlight of the weekend :) I'll try to post some pictures soon!
I head back to the doctor this afternoon so I'll report back in with the update!!!
I had my weekly doctor appointment today. I had been having contractions since Friday and they did show up once I was hooked up to the machine today. Baby boy weighs 5lbs 7 oz according to the ultrasound so he is growing strong. Blood pressure was on the high side again this week. My doctor got called to a delivery so I had to see a nurse practitioner which was disappointing but hopefully I'll get to see him next week and talk about if I need to wait 3 more weeks or if we can schedule it earlier. I am dilated to 1cm so it's the beginning of the end!!!
Well this week called for two doctor visits: one on Monday for the bio-physical profile and Tuesday for me to see the doctor. Baby scored a 10/10 again on the test which is exactly what we want to be seeing. My blood pressure was high this week which was alarming to me. The doctor said he would adjust my meds next week if my blood pressure was still high. He gave me instructions to be laying down on my left side as much as possible and to really be taking it easy. HOWEVER, he didn't say I had to be on full bedrest which is a blessing. I go back next Tuesday to repeat again :)
We are officially less than 5 weeks away from our schedule C-Section date on July 13th! We are getting anxious & excited to meet our little man!!!
Yesterday, I had another Bio-Physical Profile and OB Appointment. It took awhile to get baby boy to cooperate but finally the tech got everything she needed to see. There are some small signs that my body may be starting to develop toxemia. The doc would prefer if I could make it 3 more weeks until baby is considered "full-term." So I'm really hoping that it will work out to give baby a few more weeks to grow. The ultrasound showed he is about 4 1/2 pounds right now so he needs to gain a few more pounds in my opinion :) Especially since Marissa was a 9 pound baby! I'm supposed to be taking it easy and resting as much as possible. I'm very afraid the doctor will put me on full bedrest next week! So I guess I'll enjoy this week and see what next week brings!
We had a weekend long celebration for Mom's 60th birthday! It was fun to have the whole family up to help celebrate. We enjoyed a river cruise in Stillwater, a family dinner, shopping & lunch with Grandma, going to the movies with the kids, picnic at the park, jumping on the trampoline and ending it all with Chuck E. Cheese! Busy weekend! LOTS OF FUN!
