Tomorrow marks Brody's 6-week birthday!!! Time flies when you get no sleep! Brody is changing daily and he really is not my newborn baby anymore. How did that happen so quick? It makes me so sad to think he's really done with that stage already. He is starting to smile & giggle more which is super fun to have him interact with me.
We've enjoyed seeing the Sodoma's while they were in town for Uncle Bob's Memorial Service. I've attached some pics we took while we were together.
We have to enjoy these last couple weeks of summer before the crazy schedule starts! Marissa is going to be a very busy girl! She has preschool two mornings a week, dance class & swimming lessons along with Awana's at church. Brody & I will be living in our mini-van hauling her around! She is super excited for it all and I know she will do well!
I can't believe 4 weeks have flown by already! Brody just feels like he's always been here and fits perfectly in our family. He is starting to eat more & sleep for longer stretches! Nights are still every 2-3 hours but I can't expect anything else at this point! I really don't mind the night feedings but wish I could take a nap during the day but a certain little girl doesn't think that's a good idea!!!
Brody is starting to smile already and loves when big sister plays with him! Sometimes she plays a little too rough but it's only because she is trying to hug him a little too hard! We love our little B and feel so blessed each day that he's been with us!
than a sleeping baby cuddling on my chest. The sweet smell of a newborn baby, his soft skin and all-around sweetness make my heart flutter.....I'm so in love with my new little man. I feel so complete. Loving every minute....even the middle of the night feedings!
There is nothing better than a daughter who holds her little brother for what seems like hours.....sings to him, gives him a thousand kisses and protects him.
How did I get so blessed? I'm forever grateful for every day I get to be mommy to these beautiful children.
Well we've made it three weeks!!! Today was the first day I was here all alone, all day with both kids! It actually went very well and Marissa was an excellent helper! Brody is doing well and he seems to be awake more than last week! I'm trying to get him on a schedule so I hope within the next few weeks we can get that accomplished!
We have some playdates this week and some visitors coming over the weekend so we will continue to stay busy! The summer will be over before I know it!
