Vacation!

We just arrived home from a mini-vacation up north just the four of us.  It was fun to just get away from it all and enjoy some family time.  The kids enjoyed all the resort amenities!  I am so thankful for the R & R and now we are back home to finish up the last week of summer!  This summer has been the fastest summer yet so I am definitely not ready for it to be over.  We met Marissa's teacher at open house last night and she is all set to start 2nd grade!  Brody will be going to preschool 3 times a week this year.  We are excited to see what this year will bring for our kiddos!  Here is some pictures I got during our time up north.

Remodeling!

Last weekend we marathoned switching the kids rooms which included removing everything from both rooms, painting and buying the new furniture, putting it together, decorating and putting everything back into the new rooms.  It was so much work but I love how it turned out!

The kids got to spend the weekend at the Cabin with a very special guest, their Great Auntie Gwen!  They had lots of fun catching up with her and playing with Grandpa and Grandma!

Cousins Cabin Weekend!

This week we were able to spend some good quality time at the cabin with John and Beth & family.  My kids loved playing with their cousins and they are all at such a good age that it makes it so easy!  I took so many pictures so I will just post a few here.  We were able to take advantage of the lakeshore and set up some tents to sleep in as well as do most of our cooking over the campfire.  It was fun to try some new recipes.  The kids loved swimming and exploring the outdoors.  Such fun family memories were created!

A day at the beach and an epic concert!

Friday we spent all day at the beach at Weaver Lake Park.  It was so awesome to have both kids so happily occupied playing in the sand and swimming.  It made for a relaxing fun day for all!

I surprised Tony with Paul McCartney tickets last night.  It was quite the fiasco when our tickets turned out to invalid and we were scammed but the ticket manager took pity on us and gave us upgraded seats on the floor!  What an awesome night!
