Weekend Fun!

On Thursday, Marissa had her last dance class of the year and she received her medal for completing the class!  This week is the big dance recital week!  She is VERY excited about it and I am ready to see her in it after practicing for the last 9 months!  Here's a few pictures from her special night!

Friday night, Tony & Marissa had their last practice as well and I am SUPER excited to see them dance the father/daughter dance at the recital! 

Saturday, we got the opportunity to have a date day to celebrate Tony's birthday!  We headed down to the Mall of America to go shopping.  What a treat to shop without the kids and to be able to browse around with no agenda.  We even pretended we were teenagers again and rode some rides at Nickolodean Universe.  We ended the night with dinner and dessert at The Cheesecake Factory!  An awesome date day!

Today, we headed down to the Twins Game with John & Beth.  We had a great time and they even won this game which made it even more fun to watch! 

Soccer Season begins!

Tonight Marissa started her first soccer season!  She was so beyond excited to have her daddy as her coach.  After dinner as they were getting ready to go, she said to Tony, "Is it ok if I still call you Dad at soccer?"  It was so sweet and sincere.  She was a very proud girl to have her daddy as the coach!  It's going to be a fun soccer season.  I rode the bike & trailer with Brody up to the fields but he was a handful because he wanted to play.  So, we were only able to stay a little while before heading back home.  It may be a long soccer season for this little boy!  He kept screaming, "DADDY, DADDY, DADDY!"  Here's a few pics from the first night!

Como Zoo Birthday!

Today we had a super fun day at the zoo helping Tony celebrate his birthday!  We had the whole Holgrimson clan join us!  It was fun to watch the kids reactions to the animals.  We had lunch at one of our old hangouts during college, Snuffy's Malt Shop.  It was then wrapped up with dinner out with the Johnson Family!  Brody didn't cooperate during dinner but it still was a fun time that ended with Tony getting a sombrero and free dessert!  HA!  More celebrating all next weekend is going to be had!  This boy is getting spoiled this year!  Guess 33 isn't so bad!  Here's some pics from our day!

Pinkalicious & An Early Birthday Dinner!

Today I had the pleasure of spending some girl time with my favorite little girl and our favorite friends, Betsy & Emma!  We went to the Lyric Arts Theatre in Anoka to see the play, Pinkalicious!  It was fun to see Marissa's expressions throughout the play and to watch how Emma was just absorbing it all and then I would hear little giggles next to me.  We headed to Two Scoops Ice Cream Parlour after the show for a little afternoon treat.  It was fun to get to spend time together just us girls!

Then we got to spend some time celebrating Tony's birthday!  We got treated out to a fabulous dinner by Grammy at Amore Victoria in Uptown.  We really enjoyed our night out with dinner & shopping!

Today was Bring-A-Friend night at dance class!  Marissa brought Emma with her after an afternoon playdate.  They had a great day and Brody LOVED having Emma over.  He wanted to be right in the middle of everything they were playing.  The girls had fun at dance class and they both did a great job!  Here's some pics of the day!

Kindergarten Round-Up!

Tonight we went to Kindergarten Round-Up for Marissa!  All of a sudden, reality hit me when they said, "This is the Class of 2025!"  Oh my goodness, how did the last 5 1/2 years fly by so quick!  I am SO SO thankful for the time I got to be with my little girl because now she is going to be off to school and nothing will ever be the same!  HA!  Feeling super nostalgic tonight!  She will do great and she is way beyond EXCITED!
