Week Recap

Another week has flown by and each day has been super busy but what did we do?!?!  Brody has gotten into the groove of baseball season with 3 practices each week.  He won his first scrimmage on Saturday.  Friday night, Mom & I went to a yummy dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse and went to the Lauren Daigle concert.  Super fun night with my mama!

Work has been super busy and lots of things going on.  I'm counting down the days until Spring Break.  Can't wait to be on vacation with my family.  We booked a Disney Cruise this week for Spring Break so we are all pumped to get to go again so soon!

Sunday night is here and 5 more days until the weekend!!  Have a great week everyone!

February

Somehow, we are already more than half way through February!  The weather this week reached 90 degrees!  This winter has been so fabulous.  Hardly any really cold days!  Hopefully we can make it to March without being frozen!

Brody started spring baseball and he got on the same team again.  This time they will be the Cubs.  He practices 3 times a week and so that takes up a lot of his time.  He had a fun project at school last week.  They worked for 2 months on the Wax Museum project.  He was Walt Disney.  He had to dress up and act like Walt.  It was beyond cute!

Marissa went on her church winter retreat last weekend.  She came home bubbling over in excitement.  It was definitely quiet without her but we were so glad that she had fun.  She played paint ball and did the scream swing a few times.  She is one brave girl.

Tony & I went away for the weekend to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.  We enjoyed some time to talk uninterrupted.  We had some yummy food and had fun checking out a new place.  We were super impressed with how charming the island was!

Today the kids and I have off for Presidents Day.  I slept in until 9:00 and we are going to have a relaxing day!  We have just a few more weeks until Spring Break starts.  It's hard to believe the kids are almost done with the 3rd quarter of school.  The school years fly by!

June-December 2019

Well, I guess I'm terrible at updating my blog anymore.......In 2020, I'm going to try to get better at it, I promise!  So I guess I have a lot to catch up on so first I'll list the highlights of the 2nd half of 2019.

***Marissa's 2nd time attending Marine Science Camp.  She loved it and learned so much!
***Our 17th wedding anniversary trip to Charleston, SC.  We absolutely fell in love with the charm of this city.  So many great places to visit & amazing restaurants.  We had such a wonderful weekend away.
***Lots of trips to Disney but a very memorable 10 days in July with Cam, Tara, Degan, Myles and Grammy.  We did all the parks plus Typhoon Lagoon.  It was the incredible Fast Pass trip where we scored a fast pass for every ride.  We ate lots of yummy food and made such great memories.
***Brody's 9th birthday party at Main Event with all his friends!  Laser tag, bowling and arcade games were a big hit with all the boys!
***Marissa got braces!
***Marissa & Brody starting 7th & 3rd grades!  Can't hardly believe how old my babies are getting!
***Our 2 week trip to Italy just Tony & I.  It was such an amazing time and hardly even seems real.  We visited Rome, Florence and the Amalfi Coast.  Memories that will last for a lifetime!
***Another great baseball season for Brody on the Pirates.  He got lucky and got drafted with his favorite coach and teammates again.  They grew a lot during the season and had a lot of fun!
***Grandpa and Grandma came for a visit in October during our fall garage sale time.  We didn't make as many sales as I was hoping but we had fun!
***Opening of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios had us at Disney quite a few times this fall.
***Halloween 2019:  Brody was Po from Star Wars and Marissa was a math nerd.  This is the first year the kids went off with their friends and left mom & dad in the dust.  It was such a hot night that it hardly even feels like Halloween.
***Newsboys concert at church.  Tony's favorite band as a teenager was the Newsboys and he got to share his love for their music with our kids.  Full circle moment!
***Thanksgiving & Christmas time was full of busyness but we got in all our usual traditions.  So thankful for another awesome year together as the Holgrimson 4.
***We ended the year with a trip up north to visit the Holgrimson side of the family.  We rented a home at Grandview Lodge where we could all be together.  So many wonderful memories were made.
***In January, we got to see the Anoka band perform at Disney.  Marissa got to see her friend Emma play!  Such a fun time!

So, now I'll put in loads of photos from the 2nd half of 2019!  I hope I can be so much better at keeping this updated in 2020.
