Christmas 2021

Merry Christmas!  Cam, Tara and the boys just left after a wonderful visit!  We enjoy our time with them immensely.  I'll list some highlights of our time together.

• Prison Break Escape Room!  We got out just in the nick of time.....
• Dinner at The Melting Pot!  Never get a bad meal there!  
• Christmas Cookie Cut-Out Baking!  Annual traditions continue to live on!
• Christmas Light Displays all around the neighborhood!  This neighborhood rocks it!
• Sushi Lunch at our favorite local restaurant!
• BUCEE'S---the trip is never complete without a trip to Bucee's for cheesecake popsicles!
• Baseball playing---the boys loved hanging out playing baseball in the 80 degree weather
• Christmas gifts---it's been years since we've been together for Christmas exchange.  Felt so great!
• Christmas dinner:  I got out my Grandma Allyn's beautiful Christmas dinnerware and we enjoyed a wonderful Christmas meal together.
• National Lampoon Xmas Vacation---sitting down and watching the greatest xmas movie ever!  The laughs were priceless!
• Monday night football---love it when we can watch our Vikings win!
• Myles & Uncle Tony making homemade ice cream!

 

Happy 15th Birthday Marissa!

 Wishing my sweet daughter a very Happy 15th Birthday!!  We started out the day with a Starbucks run, getting her nails done and going ice skating!  We went to dinner at Fogo de Chao and then went to a Christmas lights display at the Arboretum.  First thing Monday morning, we went to the DMV to get her learners license.  She's done an excellent job driving!!  

Our life is never going to be the same!!  Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Thanksgiving 2021

 

One of the best holidays of the year has come and gone but I can't miss the opportunity to take a minute to think back on the last year and count my blessings.  This year hasn't been the easiest as we have lost people we love this year from COVID, I am thankful that we have stayed healthy.  I am thankful for the gift of science and the opportunity to live in a country that has excellent health care.  We've had the opportunity to see our family a few times this year for which I am very thankful.  I know I take for granted all the many blessings I have around me every day.  

We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year with no visitors but it ended up being ok since Marissa & I got sick over the weekend.  I'm very much looking forward to all the fun holiday things we have coming up!  Wishing you all a very happy thanksgiving!  

Homecoming 2021

 Marissa attended her 1st formal high school dance this week.  It was a privilege to get to be a part of all the fun!  I enjoyed watching her pick a dress and get ready!  Here's a few pictures from the night.
