New Brunch Recipe!

This was made at a recent brunch I attended so I thought I would share with you too! Super yummy!!!

Springtime Ham Sandwiches

2 Tbsp. butter - softened (or margarine spread)
1 tsp. garlic powder
sprinkle of parsley
6 - 1" thick slices french bread OR english muffins
1 c. chopped Cure 81 ham
1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1 c. Hellman's mayo
2 Tbsp. dry white wine
1/2 lb fresh asparagus, steamed 8-10 minutes (I cut in half before steaming to fit on the muffins)

Combine butter and garlic and spread on one side of the bread/muffin. Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with parsley. Broil 4" from heat source for 2 minutes or until lightly toasted. In a bowl, mix the ham, cheese, mayo and wine. Layer the bread/muffins with asparagus and then the ham mixture. Broil 2-4 minutes or until the cheese melts and the tops just get a little brown. I have made it with french bread and it is wonderful too, just a lot more cutting!
