Europe Trip!

So here it is the 3rd post of the day! Mom and I spent 2 nights in Brussels, Belgium and 4 nights in Paris, France! It was quite an adventure! Mom had meetings in Brussels so we flew into there the day before her meeting. We did a lot of exploring and walking around. We happen to be there during a National Holiday and a special thing they called the Flower Carpet. It consisted of 700,000 flowers being laid out in the Grand Place area. It was very beautiful. They had many shops ( a lot of them were chocolate shops) and cafes lined street after street after street. I was surprised at how much I really did like this city. It was a very charming place! The food was very good. I had a whole day to myself while mom was working to explore the city.

Next stop was Paris, France! We took the Thayls train which only took a little over an hour to go between the two cities. It wasn't very scenic because we overlooked lots of farmland on the ride to France. It was just like a trip to Iowa! Kinda crazy!

We got checked into the hotel which overlooked the Eiffel Tower. We had to make that our first stop. Lots of people everywhere. We did a lot of walking and exploring the city by foot. The next 3 days we had a bus pass on the double decker bus that allowed you to hop on/hop off at any of their 50 stops in Paris. On our first night there, we went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower and didn't get back to the hotel until 1:30AM. It was a beautiful site at night but a very long wait!

It was a fantastic trip! Thanks, Mom for taking me along with you on this adventure!
